House of Lords honor!

Earlier this week I was invited to the House of Lords along with 99 other fantastic Small businesses to celebrate a very special honour. Moi has been selected as of the Top 100 small businesses in the country as part of the Small Business Saturday campaign! Wohoo!

Small Business Saturday is one of the biggest campaigns in the country that has the top most Leaders of the Country (including the Prime Minister and the Chancellor) promoting it and championing this campaign. And to be a part of such a huge campaign is a massive honor for me and everyone who works with me to make TPL Experiences the brand it is!

I was so excited through out the event (you will see me smiling in all the pictures despite it being super cold!) because I absolutely feel chuffed to have made it to this list in just five years of setting up shop in a new country with absolutely no backing whatsoever!

Most of my colleagues in India thought I was being naive by leaving behind a highly successful career as a Master of Ceremonies and TV Presenter, my family too were nervous for me. To be honest, I too was nervous and quite often in my first year doubted my decision to leave a career so solid, I often asked myself 'Why' did I do something so silly! From being ridiculed for my accent to being told that I won't work here and that all my years of experience in India are of no use...I have had my share of lows BUT after picking myself up and restoring faith in my own abilities, I realised my 'WHY' very soon.
